Zelda is a performance persona of Kasey Kinsella, who believes weeping and laughing are two sides of the same stone (capitalism, die!). Parallel to organizing and solidarity-activism, Kasey deploys clown-comedy to "blow powder on invisible structures", while unlocking her deepest pleasure (see Uses of the Erotic).
Her performances obscure the self-help workshop, and meld comedy, improv and dance. They are invitations to decompose whatever feeds supremacies (white, Ashkenazi, human, ____) through absurd, embodied edge-play.
Kasey has facilitated workshops on combating Consumer Culture and advertising in the U.S. and Southeast Asia. She now works for an environmental justice organization on Occaneechi Saponi homelands outside of Durham, NC.
